Fry the onion, add the chicken and cook through. Add the sachet, water, ketchup and mayo as per the pack, then stir in any veg. Simmer until thick and creamy. You want a filling, not a sauce.
Spoon the filling into a pie dish. Lay the puff pastry over the top, trim the edges and press to seal.
Cut a small slit in the middle to let steam out, then brush all over with beaten egg.
Bake 25–30 minutes until the pastry is puffed and deep golden.
No-pastry shortcut: skip the pie and spoon the creamy chicken straight over rice or mash. Serve with your favourite veg. Comfort food that started life as a Cooked and Ate sachet. 🇿🇦
